Here are some photos from my Vietnam weekend. We arrived Thursday night, and went to yummy authentic home style Vietnamese food...then spent the days in the factories. There was a few hours to walk around this city, but most of these were taken from the car, on the way to the factory.


This lady was literally a mobile restaurant. She had cooked noodles, to go tins, soy sauce....she would just walk around and sell food.

This is Romy, on our way to french food. Romy is our Country Manager here in china. I used to work with him at Vans, so its cool to work with him again.

And yes, I was standing inches away form snakes and scorpions....Travis would have been proud
Hey Everyone, Remember.... These save lives!
Rooftop Bar of the City of Saigon. (AKA Ho Chi Minh City). The city was renamed Ho Chi Minh city after the communist rule took over....
This is the most amazing thing in the world. Its called Chicken Pho. The food in Vietnam is really healthy and yummy. This was my breakfast.

The oldest church in Ho Chi Minh. This thing was beautiful. You can see the french influences in the architecture of this building. It was so strange. Half of the homes looked French Colonial, and then half were traditional Vietnam crap houses, and half way falling down.

This was a street vendor, selling "razor shaves" and hair cuts. He litterally put up a tent and opened up for business.
This was at Pho 2000, the place where we had breakfast. Its a photo of bill clinton and chelsea. They were in the same restaurant when the visited!
Buddha, In a restaurant called the Temple Club. I highly recommend the Temple Club for authentic great food.
The craziest thing about this city, is that there are barely any cars. The country imposes a 100%tax on cars. They don't make a lot of cars in Vietnam, and the government wants everyone to buy Vietnam made products. Because of this, you can see.....Hundred's of motor-bikes. The bikes were crazy. just try and cross the street! We had to basically just walk out in the middle, and pray that they weren't going to hit us! Pretty Nuts. I still can't believe we didn't see any car accidents. They drive like maniacs!

Dinner was Fillet Fondue, with blue cheese mac and cheese...scalloped potatoes, and some veggies. YUMMY! I miss lauren staying with use, because we were cooking more. We might have to implement Family Dinner nights again!Mr Sabi all dressed up.......

Thanksgiving 2007

So this was our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple....we decided to take in orphan lauren as well. The attire was casual, but we all ate too much food. On the menu.... a full turkey, mashed potatoes, salad, rolls, cranberry's, stuffing, good wine and sweet potatoes

Oh, Life with 3 people living in a tiny apartment. We will always remember our dinners on the coffee table!
